The 464th's tail fin insignia on display
at the 2008 Reunion in Tucson. (Constructed by Walter Kuzmak, 776.)
Our September 5-10, 2012 Dearborn, Michigan Reunion was hosted by 777th Bomb Squadron member Edmond
and Toni Aubrey and their daughter Mary Rogers and her husband Steve. This was again another great reunion we will always
remember. Our Members' reminiscent stories of their WW-II service experiences while at Pantanella were extremely interesting to
all of us attending. Our aging recall appears to be improving with our age.
I wish to thank Ed Aubrey's family for their gracious and sincere hospitality and time consuming activities
in being our Hosts. Additionally, in our attending members' behalf, we say Thank You to all family members who assisted us
aging members to attend. Without your help, many of us could not attend.
As always, many thanks to Dorcas and Tony Schneider, Elise and Art Rawlings, and Kent and Jaelynne
Hathaway. They are the major players who keep our annual Group Reunion an operating entity.
Our attendance was 14 Members plus 55 Family and Guests. Our oldest Member was 778th Bomb
Squadron's Stillman Harding, age 94. Our youngest Member was 777th Bomb Squadron's Ed Aubrey, age 87.
I have asked Elise and Art Rawlings to include an article about our Dearborn Reunion highlights, and
additionally, to inform all of our Members of the personal problems of Members who could not attend.
I also asked Jaelynne and Kent Hathaway to submit an article explaining the establishment of a new
464th Bomb Group web site.
My attending family members pressured yours truly into hosting our 2013 Reunion in Colorado Springs,
Colorado. This is the home of my son, Dan, and his wife, Eva. My grandson, Matt, has volunteered to manage all details of
planned Reunion activities. My son, Don, will probably end up doing most of the work. Matt is providing Tony a short introduction
of our 2013 Reunion plans for inclusion in this newsletter. Tony will be publishing a newsletter in the future that will include
registration forms and details of our 2013 plans.
Please call me or e-mail me should you have any questions or suggestions about our Bomb Group activities.
The Krynovich family wishes you a great and healthy year and to start planning early to attend our Colorado Springs, Colorado Reunion
during September 2013.
